“I mean, who even are you… nobody’s ever even heard of you!?”

So who am I? Well my name is Danny as you probably guessed and basically I’m just your average guy and this is my health and fitness blog. I work a typical 9 to 5 (or half 8 to half 5 as seems to be the norm now) as a web designer and as a result spend the majority of my time sat on my ass at a desk staring at a screen. I don’t work in the fitness industry on the side or have any background in sports, but over the last few years I have made it part of my routine to get to the gym as often as I can and wage war with my waistline.

I started training seriously back in 2011 and have at times got myself into pretty decent shape but owing to my love of shit food and cheap good beer fine wine I’ve always wound up back where I started.

I consider myself a bit of a fitness geek and try to learn as much as I can from books, online, friends who DO work in the industry and from the personal trainers I’ve been fortunate enough to work with and apply that knowledge to my nutrition and training, sometimes things work, sometimes they don’t but hey that’s all part of the journey.

The reason I’ve decided to put this site together? Well i’m writing this health and fitness blog as a self-motivation tool, this year I’ve made it my mission to get into stage ready condition and hopefully compete at the end of the year. I’m hoping the fact I’ve made this statement public will hold me accountable and ultimately keep me focused on my end goal as I know it’s not going to be easy, and if i can help to motivate one or two others along the way then happy days!
